Guilford acquired this locomotive on June 16th 1981 when they bought the MEC. It was wrecked 10/28/81, repaired in 1982; Unit returned to lessor and then rebuilt by VMV at Paducah, KY and then sold to New Hampshire & Vermont as their #3800.
